A capital residence! Nestling just several hundred metres from the South African seat of government – Union Buildings – the Pretoria YW provides accommodation, on a self-catering basis, to 70 young women.
Bus services and taxi collection points are within easy walking distance, as are several shopping centres, churches and Embassies.
Learning institutions such as: Pretoria University, Pretoria Technicon, Tshwane University of Technology, Pretoria College, SANSA SA College, Easy English International School, Hatfield Business College, Boston Campus, UNISA Town Campus and Medunsa Bus Services are all near at hand. As are the medical centres of: Pretoria Academic Hospital, Meulmed Hospital, Curamed Heart Hospital, Medorum and Kingsley Medicentre.
Reasonable tariffs are offered and overnight stays are available.
Accommodation facilities include furnished single and double bedrooms with private handbasins; bathrooms and showers, laundry, large lounge with TV, table tennis and indoor board games, a small library, chapel, well equipped kitchen and dining room.
- Card and coin operated public telephones are available.
- Residents are expected to attend a weekly youth service and there are optional Bible study groups available while Life Skills and Youth Development programmes are organized on a regular basis.
- Limited secure parking is available.
There are secure parking garages available for rent across the street from us, for those who have vehicles, and there are more just a block away from our house.
